Sweet stuffed kumquats

Time to party! If you want to offer your guests something unusual as a snack it can be quite difficult to find an original recipe. These stuffed kumquats are perfect, something different and full of flavour.

Preparation method

  1. Peel the figs. Finely chop the flesh. Squeeze the lime. Add the figs to a saucepan with the lime juice, jam sugar and 1 tablespoon of water. Bring to the boil stirring all the time. Leave to simmer gently for 6 minutes a low heat. Remove from the heat and leave to cool in the fridge.
  2. Heat a dry frying pan and fry the flaked almonds on medium heat in about 3 minutes until golden brown. Cool on a plate.
  3. Beat the cream cheese and the milk with a whisk until soft and airy. Slice away the top of the kumquats but do not cut all the way through. Spoon a teaspoon of cream cheese and some fig jam into the kumquats. Sprinkle with the flaked almonds.
